About Skyaura Homes Inc.

Skyaura Homes Inc. is a growing residential construction and development company based in Calgary, Alberta. We design and build thoughtful, high-quality multifamily homes. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AutoCAD Drafter to support our residential design, documentation, and construction activities.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position based in Calgary. The role is primarily remote; however, the successful candidate must attend construction sites within the City of Calgary as required. Occasional office attendance may also be requested.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare construction drawings, floor plans, layouts, elevations, sections, and architectural details using AutoCAD.
  • Review and revise drawings for accuracy, consistency, project requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Assemble complete drawing sets and project documentation for semi-detached and multifamily residential projects.
  • Develop preliminary sketches, layout concepts, and 3D renderings based on project requirements.
  • Assist with construction specifications, material take-offs, quantity estimates, and preliminary cost estimates.
  • Attend construction sites as required to verify dimensions, progress, and site conditions against project drawings.
  • Identify and report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
  • Prepare technical reports, tender documents, and project updates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and other team members.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, measurements, dimensions, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a practical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Availability for required construction site visits and occasional office attendance.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

What we offer

  • Annual compensation of $45,600–$48,000.
  • Full-time, permanent employment.
  • Hybrid work arrangement that is primarily remote, with required construction site visits.
  • Overtime opportunities in accordance with Alberta employment standards.
  • Extended health benefits, including medical, dental, and paramedical coverage, after three months of continuous employment.
  • Two weeks of paid annual vacation.
